Every coach is verified
A coach account can't search or message athletes until they've verified their institutional email and an administrator has reviewed and approved their account by hand.
Guardian consent for minors
An athlete under 18 needs a linked guardian before their profile can be published or a coach can message them, and that guardian can pause the account at any time.
Moderated, rate-limited messaging
Messages are screened for suspicious patterns, coach outreach is rate-limited (especially to minors), and every message can be reported for admin review.
Confidential references stay confidential
Reference contact details are never shown on a public profile — only a verified coach can request one, and every view is logged.
